On March 2nd, the Center for Leadership and Service is partnering with Volunteer Knoxville to team up with schools in the community to commemorate Dr. Seuss's birthday by participating in the "Read Across America" Day of Service. Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books through service!
Volunteers will be placed in local schools, libraries and centers and assigned a one hour reading shift, based on mutual availability. Click here to sign up today! Registration is open to students, faculty and staff and will close on February 23. Participation is free and transportation can be provided if indicated in the registration form.
